What a wonderful day! We did the ATV/zip lines/cenote tour with another couple. From the moment we were picked up to the moment we were dropped off, we were well taken care of. The entire staff was wonderful. Claire was amazing to work with prior to our tour. During our tour, Marcel was our guide and was awesome. Very fun day and worth every penny! Thank you!

This company is wonderful. We booked a tour and also a R/T transfer to Puerto Adventurous. Claire sent me the drivers info the night before our pick up and followed us through every step of the day! Our kids loved the ATV tour! Highlight of our trip. Definitely an adrenaline rush! Chris was our guide for the day. He was awesome, sharing with us his love of snorkeling (which will be our next tour) and his love of adventure. We were the first to arrive at Boca del Pluma and had the place to ourselves!! You have a personal photographer who takes awesome pictures and for 60.00 US we got spectacular pictures and there were 6 of us. I can't recommend Claire & Chris enough..it was great to not feel so touristy because we had our own experts at out disposal. Booking is extremely easy. You will feel like you are in the hands of great friends if you book with them!

We booked Absolute Adventure for the day to visit the ruins of Tulum, swim in a Cenote (sinkhole) and go snorkling with the sea turtles at Akumal. They were fantastic and tailormade the day for us. We were picked up from our hotel by our driver Ervin and guide Marcel. They were fantastic, really friendly and kind and very knowledgeable about everywhere we visited. They explained everything to us and everything was very safe and well organised.

We booked Absolute Adventure for the day to visit the ruins of Tulum, swim in a Cenote (sinkhole) and go snorkling with the sea turtles at Akumal. They were fantastic and tailormade the day for us. Wonderful experience! Arturo and Carlos did an amazing job getting us to the most beautiful cenote. Arturo provided a lot of education and history lessons along the way and is clearly very well traveled and knowledgeable about many things.

Claire was an amazing guide for my wife and I on our vacation away from kids and the logistics and communication were seamless from start to finish. Private tour of Tulum ruins was exquisite and a must experience to avoid the crowds and heat! Swimming in caves is an experience not to be missed, followed by an authentic local Mayan lunch. Would highly recommend Absolute Adventure to any friends, family or fellow travelers. We were only upset that our stay didn't allow an additional private guided trip. Next time for sure! We will certainly be back to the beautiful Riviera Maya and will book again with Absolute Adventure for the personalized experience and authentic tour.

Excellent guide; good English and very friendly. It was nice to avoid the very large group excursions that are sold out of the resorts and get a personalized one of a kind Experience.

We had a great tour with Arturo and Rodrigo on the Tulum/cenote/turtle tour. They were very patient and also super informative! We felt the personal attention was awesome and would love to come back. The kids (8, 10, 13, 15) really enjoyed the cenote the best. I highly recommend this tour with Arturo and Rodrigo.

I booked a 1 day tour to Tulum, cenotes and snorkeling with Claire via email. I had several questions and Claire was always quick to respond and informative. My older daughter is extremely adventurous with no fear, while my younger is cautious. Trying to find things to do to satisfy both can be a bit of a challenge. Clair arranged a tour that was far beyond our expectations. We went to Tulum right when it opened and avoided the crowds. The cenotes tour was amazing and we saw several turtles while snorkeling. Claire educated us on the culture, sites, history & wildlife while keeping things fun. It was the perfect balance. In addition she listened to my daughters throughout the day and when I asked about a second tour day, she presented ideas that would satisfy both my girls. The second tour was to Coba, which was amazing! We then went to a cenote that was completely different than the other where we zip-lined, swam and jumped from platforms. The 2 days of tours with Absolute Adventures were our best 2 days in Mexico! I highly recommend this tour company! Thank you Claire and Erwin for the unforgettable family memories that you helped us create!

I can't say enough about the quality of this tour. We did Coba and a cenote with Marcel and Irwin (driver). They picked us up bright & early, offered to stop for coffee, and we arrived at Coba before the crowds. Marcel obviously loves what he does and was very informative. After Coba, we went to the Pet Cemetery cenote. We had rented their camera for the day, but unfortunately, the battery died before we could snorkel, so we had to use our disposable underwater cameras. Claire was kind enough to waive the charge for the camera and email us the Coba pictures. After the snorkel came lunch at a local place, where we had the freshest guacamole I have ever tasted! Private tours are the way to go - individual attention, you get to know your guide and get personalized service. Many thanks to the Absolute Adventures team for an unforgettable day!

We booked this trip on a recommendation from my niece who did the same excursion. I contacted Absolute adventure at short notice before leaving for Mexico and also it was in the evening and did not expect a reply until the next day. I got a reply and asked if we could do trip one day later and I said yes due to me waiting so late to book. After arriving at Mexico, I found out after going to Cancun for a side trip and not checking with the Taxi driver on how much it would cost it ended up more than I estimated.This left me short to pay absolute for the balance of the excursion. Went to resort lobby to get more more cash but it was going to be outrageous with the fees.I contacted Claire and she was gracious enough to stop by an ATM at the bank on the way for the balance.She picked us at the resort on time. We stopped by the bank and after I got the money, through my own fault I found out I did not get my card back so we stopped the van and she ran back to the atm with me but my card was not there but my receipt was. We got back in the van she called the bank in Mexico and it was going to be too much trouble to get my card back but she offered to go back that afternoon. that was going to be over and above her service I thought. I called my bank after it opened and got it cancelled. We were going to get coffee at Starbucks after but after this exciting morning we passed it. She then stopped at a local Mexican coffee shop which had great coffee but no lids for cups so we got back in to the van. She even went so far as to go back to the store beside it to get oversized lids so our coffee would not get cold, which she did not need to do.We got back on the road, went to the ruins, she did an excellent job of describing everything and avoiding all the crowds.After the ruins we went to a great lunch with cervezas at a restaurant in the jungle.We then went to the cenote for great snorkeling. Clair took care of lunch and all admissions and our coffee in the AM. She let us take pictures as needed, never felt pressured or rushed. I saw some of the crowds and would not have wanted to be part of that. The private tour is the way to go. We arrived back at the hotel with her nice driver, settled up and all was well. Highly recommend Absolute Adventures Mexico. Thanks for a great time Claire. We hope to see you next year.

Coordinating a tour via email had me a little concerned. For 6 of us at two different resorts I was expecting a few glitches. Claire was great at responding and clarifying details.

We had a great time today with Marcel and Antonio. They did a great job of making the excursion perfect for the two if use. Marcel was incredibly knowledgable and did a great job of getting us in and out the sites before the large groups arrived. We will definitely call them when we come back to the Yucatan.

I cannot say enough good things about this company . I had a bunch of questions and emailed back and forth with Claire while booking my tour and she was always very responsive , helpful , and explained everything . It was just two of us and we picked the snorkeling in Akumal Bay and ruins in Tulum . We were informed we would be picked up at 7am to head over to the ruins , we headed out to our lobby and they were right on time waiting for us. We were offered water ,and drinks the whole time , offered to stop for coffee if that's what we wanted instead . Constantly checked to make sure the air conditioning was ok and that we were comfortable or if we needed anything . Marcel was our guide for the day and he could not have been more amazing . Being a private tour , there were no big groups , no worrying about where everyone was , no waiting for anyone , no yelling so everyone could here . I felt less like I was on a tour and more like I had just met a new friend who was showing me around where he lives . Marcel was extremely friendly , he was funny , and he was really knowledgable . The ruins at tulum were beautiful and full of history , I learned so much and saw such beautiful scenery. From the story to what happened here , to Mayan bees , to what bark on different trees can do , we learned it all . The timing is perfect , they get you there early to beat the crowds ,as we were leaving busses of people were pulling up . There were some shops outside of the ruins and I saw a stand for coconuts , I had been wanting to get a coconut since we got to Mexico. Marcel went over and asked how much they were for me , and when they told him the price he laughed and said it was ridiculous and we could find them somewhere else for much cheaper . He did this for me another time also , he made sure we didn't get taken advantage of and really looked out for us . He also offered if we wanted to stop and look around in any of the stores while we were walking back to the van . From there we went to Akumal bay and went snorkeling with the turtles , marcel offered us wetsuits to keep us protected from sunburn and comfortable . The bay was beautiful . Marcel explained it was important to keep in a floating position because so many tourists there a day can cause damage to the bay . Other tours didn't explain this to their customers and he said it kills him to see this . He really cares about the environment and protecting it which shows that this company cares and is not just about the money . I've never been snorkeling but he said we'd be pros in no time. He kept looking up to check and make sure we were ok , he was very patient and took us all around making sure we saw a whole bunch of turtles before we left . He pointed out an eel and took us over to the reef , he had said earlier he would see how the conditions were first because it is better safe than sorry , but glad we had gotten to see it . He took us over to a place that had a clean bathroom and an outside shower to rinse off all of the salt water before getting back in the van . He even was prepared and brought a jug to fill up with water to rinse off the sand from our feet after walking from the shower. The driver actually helped and washed off our feet for us . I felt really safe with the driver , he didn't speak much English but I didn't expect him too , we were in his country after all. I felt bad I didn't speak more Spanish , and even though I didn't I could tell he was a super nice guy . After snorkeling our driver and Marcel took us for a quick stop to a local taco place to get some "real" tacos. There was so many to choose from ,he explained to us what each one was and ordered in Spanish for us . We would have been lost without him . I had such a fun day and learned so much . I would recommend absolute adventure to everyone ! It is so worth it, and make sure to tip them well, they deserve every bit of it and by the end of the day you will definitely want to so be prepared ! If I could , I would hire them to go with me all around the world ! Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience ! You guys are the best!

Many thanks to Marcel, Chris & the driver. We had an exclusive trip with Marcel. His passion for this country made this day even more fantastic. It was an incredible experience in the cenote, felt like in a different universe, stunning. Marcel is the perfect guide, passionate, knowledge, very likeable & patient. Thank you Marcel for all these beautiful impressions. Snorkeling with the turtles was an unforgettable experience as well. Because of this I became a snorkeling fan. The other day we did all the things you wrote down for us, Coba etc......perfect hints, we loved it

I always prefer a private tour when possible... for the very reasons I enjoyed our day so much. As Marcel said at the beginning - it's your day, we do what you want to do at your pace. They picked us up promptly at our hotel and we headed out. I asked to stop at an ATM since the ATM at our hotel charges exorbitant fees to use and he said - no problem. We first went to Coba ruin and got in before the other big groups. After we got the guided intro, we grabbed bikes and explored the rest of the ruins with Marcel. He is very relaxed and knowledgeable about the local terrain, vegetation, and culture. But we also enjoyed learning about him and how he found his place in the Yucatan, very easy to talk to - just like new friends getting acquainted. We really enjoyed our lunch at a local restaurant, so good! and then we snorkeled in the Pet Cemetery cenote. I hadn't really researched cenotes prior to our trip so I had no idea how cool this was. We were so happy we picked this tour. We took our time, had our guide all to ourselves instead of competing with others to ask questions or take pictures. We never felt rushed, he took care of all transactions with admission fees, lunch bill, etc. It was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend doing a private tour whatever excursion you choose and don't hesitate to contact this company!!

Dos Ojos Cenote with Alex and Carlos. Carlos was very professional and drove very well. Alex gave us a history lesson on the Mayan people and the cenotes on the ride down. He is very knowledgeable and speaks very fluent English. We toured three cenotes, the first had a lot of cool vegetation and the water in the second one looked royal blue. In the third we went deep into the caves and it was totally amazing. This is the opportunity of a life time and like nothing else we have ever done. Wow! Then once we finished and changed clothes we had the Mayan lunch with Alex. The food is great and I recommend the fish or shrimp tacos! We were gone for over 6 hours and when we returned to Playa del Carmen we both crashed and took a nap. If you are visiting the area, this is a must and going with Alex and Absolute Adventure on a private tour is the only way to do it! Alex is the best tour guide by far!

Absolute Adventure was able to book a last minute dive trip for our group of two; they were pleasant to work with and followed up with us after the trip, even sending advice for helping with water in the ears.
