Wonderful Experience & Highly Recommend Cenote Dos Ojos This was a wonderful experience! Arturo was an absolute amazing tour guide. He was kind, informative, and gave us all the time we needed to get the best experience. We were stuck in traffic due to an accident and I was fearful of not having the full time for the Excursion, but, we were not rushed at all! The restaurant meal was wonderful and Arturo joined us, which was so nice! It was our pleasure to visit with him. My husband is not a strong swimmer and Arturo was so helpful and kind to him. I highly recommend seeing Cenote Dos Ojos!

Tulum Ruins and Snorkeling in Cenote with Absolute Adventure Mexico - GREAT EXPERIENCE! The Tulum Ruins and Snorkeling in Cenote tour with Absolute Adventure Mexico was the first of two that my wife and I booked for our week in Playa del Carmen (the second was the Chichen Itza Express, which is also highly recommended). This was our first trip to Mexico, and because we were staying at an all-inclusive resort, the two excursions were our opportunity to embrace Mayan culture and see more of the region. Our tour guide Alex and driver Omar arrived promptly at 7 a.m. stocked with plenty of cold water and the snorkeling equipment we would use for our cenote visit. While this may seem an early start, the benefits of arriving at these sites early cannot be underestimated. Crowds build up through the day, so visiting with fewer other tourists is worthwhile. I will also note that it was just the four of us for the excursion, so it really was a private tour, affording an intimacy with our guide Alex that one can only get in a small group. We began by driving to the Tulum ruins. Alex proved extremely knowledgeable and congenial. While en route, he expounded upon the Mayan civilization and what we would see at the Tulum ruins. He even taught us how the Mayan numbering system worked and how to write different numbers. Who knew that Mayans used a base 20 numbering system? We also learned that Tulum had been razed by Spanish conquistadors and was essentially forgotten for centuries, only rediscovered in 1841. Mangrove forests continue to be pushed back as more of the ancient city is rediscovered. Alex taught us how important the seasonal calendar was to the Mayans and how they used window placement to inform the day relative to the equinoxes or summer solstice (think crop management). The fact that Tulum is situated at the top of a cliff makes it a picturesque place; wandering the site listening to Alex's patient narration was a treat. Leaving Tulum, Alex gave us the choice of three cenotes: Nicte Ha, Taak bi Ha, or Jaguar. Alex explained what each was like, and we selected Taak bi Ha because we liked the idea of snorkeling in a cavern cenote. We arrived at Taak bi Ha on schedule (around 11 a.m.) and prepared for snorkeling. Here, I will note that the equipment provided by Absolute Adventure Mexico was excellent, better than what I own at home. Alex also volunteered that the snorkeling equipment is sanitized after every use, which was appreciated. We snorkeled in the cave for over an hour. Alex snorkeled, too, which was helpful since he could point out a few things before allowing us alone time. It was really a remarkable experience exploring the cavern, though seeing the guidelines that scuba divers use to enter the dark depths impressed upon me that I have zero interest in ever doing that. One other point to make is that our driver Omar remained with the van throughout our time in the cenote, so we never had any concerns about the security of our phones, wallets, etc. At no point did Alex rush us through our adventure. When we were done snorkeling, we returned to the van and drove a short distance to the local restaurant where we enjoyed the lunch that was part of the excursion. Very good, traditional food in ample quantities! And having the opportunity to ask Alex more questions and learn about his life was a privilege. In summary, the Tulum Ruins and Snorkeling in Cenote tour with Absolute Adventure Mexico is strongly recommended. Alex and Omar were fantastic, and we learned at the end of our excursion that Alex would be taking us on the Chichen Itza Express in two days. Suffice it to say, we were ecstatic to see him again. Guides make the experience, and hiring the best guide talent appears to be a priority for the company. Great job!

Absolute Adventure Mexico - Chichen Itza Express Private Tour - MUST DO! This was the second of two excursions that my wife and I booked with Absolute Adventure Mexico during our week in Playa del Carmen (we also enjoyed the Tulum Ruins and Snorkeling in Cenote excursion). This was our first trip to Mexico despite our being seasoned travelers, and expanding our knowledge of Mayan culture while visiting the Yucatan Peninsula was important to us. Our pickup was at 6:15 a.m. (very early!) but a worthwhile necessity given the 2.25-hour drive to the Chichen Itza site. We were privileged to have Alex as our guide (second time in three days!) and Enrique as our driver. Alex and Enrique were on time and well prepared with water for the long drive. The van was clean and in excellent condition, and throughout the trip there and back, Enrique drove responsibly and carefully, the latter important given that road conditions were not always ideal. Alex spent time during the early portion of the drive discussing the Mayan civilization at the time of Chichen Itza and details about what we could expect about the site. This foundational knowledge was important to my wife and me; having spent time with us on an excursion two days prior, Alex had already developed a rapport with us and gave us all we could have asked for. This is where I should probably mention that my wife and I were the only passengers in the van and part of the tour. Two adults and one deeply knowledgeable guide is a recipe for a great experience! We stopped for coffee and bathrooms along the way and arrived at the site well before its 8 a.m. opening (noting that we change time zones and get one hour back en route). We were among the first visitors of the day and were able to take photos of El Castillo close to sunrise and with few photo-bombers. This is why one should arrive early! In total, we spent 4.5 hours visiting the many different ruins throughout this lost city (who knew?) and emerged with a deeper understanding of how the Mayan civilization operated. Alex was truly fantastic in this regard. He is the kind of person with whom you would enjoy a casual meal for the opportunity to ask questions and learn not only about his knowledge of history and the region but also his own life. Alex is a really good person on top of being an effective tour guide. Visiting Chichen Itza is a must-do for first-time visitors to the Yucatan Peninsula. I began the experience knowing very little and was made the wiser for it. Absolute Adventure Mexico, my wife and I are grateful for the experience you gave us. Please continue to maintain a high bar for hiring tour guides, as those like Alex make these experiences successful for your clients.

Excellent group day outing Absolutely excellent, fantastic guide, fantastic day, learned so much and had so much fun. Food was great, places we went to were great. Couldn?t recommend more!

A Great Day We spent an amazing day with our tour guide Alex and our driver Enrico. Everything worked like clockwork. They arrived on time and showed us a great day with lots of information and great photo opportunities at Chichin Itza the Cenote swim and then at the lunch we had at a great spot . They were professional and friendly. I would highly recommend them.

Our guide Alex and driver Rodrigo were amazing! So informative and was able to answer all the questions from our group. Everyone really enjoyed his insights and enthusiasm for Tulum's history and culture. Also communicating with the tour operator was very fast. Would 100% book with this company again.

Amazing experience with Absolute Adventure Mexico - Chich?n Itz? and Cenote My husband and I had the most incredible day with Absolute Adventure Mexico on the Chich?n Itz? and Cenote tour. From the start, our guide, Juan, was amazing. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about Mayan culture, but he was also hilarious and made the whole experience feel personal. We had great conversations on everything from personal stories to world issues, and Juan was always accommodating and engaging. Our driver, Omar, was wonderful as well. Although his English wasn?t perfect, he made sure to join in on the fun by communicating through Juan, which made it even more enjoyable. We felt like we were able to fully be ourselves?sarcasm and all?without any hesitation. One of the highlights was arriving early at Chich?n Itz?, which helped us avoid the crowds and heat. Juan was thoughtful enough to guide us to quieter areas, which was much appreciated, as we prefer avoiding large crowds. We were able to decide what pace we moved at as well. Juan told us we could let him know if we'd like to move through things faster. It was up to us! I highly recommend this tour! Both Juan and Omar went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable day. They made sure we were comfortable, even accommodating our motion sickness. We couldn?t have asked for a better tour experience.

Highly recommend, great tour company Day trip tour to Tulum ruins, cenote swimming, lunch and tequila tasting. Private tour for 4 of us - we were collected from our hotel and had a private guide and driver. Great air conditioned mini bus. Artur & Enrique were great guys, very friendly and knowledgeable. Had the most amazing memorable day. Arrived at the Tulum ruins at 8am to avoid the heat and the crowds, which was a great idea. Arthur was very knowledgeable and pointed out things you would never notice just wandering around on your own. From there we went to Nicte Ha cenote (you could choose from a choice of 3 different cenote of differing types) and had life jackets and snorkel gear provided. Absolutely stunning and very quiet and peaceful. After that we had a lovely Mexican lunch at a local restaurant followed by Artur talking us through the different types of Tequila with tasting too - very informative and fun. A fantastic and memorable day we all loved.

Wow!! Incredible!! Our wedding party went with Alex and Rodrigo to Tulum from Playa Del Carmen, Alex was so knowledgeable but also so engaging and funny!! I strongly recommend Alex as your guide. He was amazing! All our wedding guests were so happy.

Best tour we have ever taken. Amazing, amazing, amazing. The transfer was on time and had water and pop ready for us during the ride. Rodrigo was a great driver and all passengers felt 100% safe. Alex was the best tour guide I have ever had!!!! His knowledge during the ride and at Tulum was incredible. We would absolutely recommend the whole experience to anyone.

Excellent Choice Today we did the Tulum Ruins and Taak Bi Ha Cenote with Absolute Adventure. Our guide Juan and driver (sorry forgot your name) were so wonderful and seriously beyond 5 stars. We felt so safe the entire time. Booking a private tour was the best decision. After taking the transfer from the airport who wants to spend your vacation with 50 random people on a bus. Juan?s knowledge of the ruins was a real treat and his sense of humour kept us laughing. When we return with our husbands in the future we?ll definitely be booking another excursion with Absolute Adventure (and requesting Juan and hopefully he doesn?t remember our faces ;^) lol

Best Private Cenote Tours in the Yucatan! This was our second tour with Absolute Adventure and it won't be our last! Once again they went above and beyond. We added snorkeling with turtles to our cenotes package and even with that we were back to our hotel before 3pm. Our guide Alex was just as knowledgeable about Tulum and the cenotes as he was about Chichen Itza. We ziplined at one of the cenotes and had the entire place to ourselves! Highly recommended!

Chichen Itza Express Josh was our guide, he was very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had! They were on time for everything it was so quick and easy to book. We ordered 24 beer for our trip from Bahia Principe Tulum to Chichen Itza and back. I would highly recommend going to Chichen Itza with this company. The private tour is by far the way to go, it was worth every penny it cost. We were able to choose our pickup time we left our resort at 7:30am and honestly that was a pretty good time to leave as the crowds were not bad at all yet. We left Chichen Itza around 11:00-11:30 or so and that was lots of time because we were back at our resort and still got to enjoy the sunlight for the rest of the day.

Awesome experience! We had a great time during our Tulum ruins tour and cenote swim. I would highly recommend it to anyone and we would do it again if we went back. Alex was an outstanding tour guide!

Snorkeling Reef 1/2 Day Did a private boat tour to snorkle off the coast of Puerto Morelos. Juan was our guide. All in all a fun 1/2 day with a personable and attentive guide. The boat can?t get real close to the reef so you have to swim out against the waves. That was intimidating at first but they made me comfortable right away but allowing me to hang onto the ring the boat driver was carrying. We saw WAY more fish on the Cenote tour to a lagoon but thats not their fault! It was super fun and worth the money to do a private tour since we didn?t want to do lunch, shopping? Etc. Most tours include those things. Felt safe at all times. Pick up at hotel was on time!

?The Mayans Delivered? We travel quite often including several trips to Cancun within past two years. This tour company ranks right at the top. The communication was seamless and we hit the jackpot with our Tour Guide and Driver. Arturo enlightened us with so many interesting facts of Mayan history; he is a wealth of information on these periods of civilization and has a wonderful demeanor of delivery. He and Enrique, our Driver, made certain we were comfortable throughout the day, including an authentic Mayan meal in Valladolid. We will certainly use them again.

Amazing private tour to Chichen Itza and cenote! We had a great day with our guide Arturo and driver Omar! They arrived at the agreed time at our hotel and then we started the journey towards Chichen Itza. Along the way we had the opportunity to stop for coffee and use the restroom. As we arrived early in Chichen Itza there was no line to enter and inside we were able to walk comfortably as we were there before the big tour buses arrived. Arturo was very knowledgeable and gave us the complete tour of the 3 areas inside Chichen Itza sharing fascinating facts about the Mayan civilisation. We moved at our own pace and took group pictures whenever we wanted. I also appreciated that Arturo was very respectful towards other guides waiting for our turn at different spots while other guides do not do the same. On the way to the cenote Arturo offered us some tortas (Mexican sandwich) that were delicious and perfect after waking so much! We chose Cenote Samula because Arturo said it was normally calmer and we even got to be the only ones swimming at one moment, almost felt like our own private cenote! The last stop was for lunch in Valladolid in a traditional Mayan restaurant and the food was excellent. This was not a touristy place just a regular restaurant with Mayan dishes that cannot be found in many places. One thing to mention is that the driver stays in the van the whole time to we were able to leave our belongings safely there while doing the different activities. I highly recommend this tour if you are looking for a private more customised experience, the service from the guide and driver was excellent!
