ASK FOR JOSHUA! Joshua was absolutely incredible. We wish he could be our tour guide everywhere we go! We booked the ruins, cenote, and swimming with turtles private tour. Joshua was extremely knowledgeable of the history, botanology, and wildlife of the area. Every question we asked he had an answer. Having him guide us through the ruins and explain the Mayan history was a highlight of our trip. We went bright and early beating a good portion of the bigger crowds that come later. The cenote we chose was Dos Ojos. We really didn’t have much expectations aside from the little research we did online. I thought we’d just be swimming in the cenote for 20-30min. Turns out there’s two parts of the cenote (hence dos dojos). The first eye is a 15-20min open/caved pool. And the second eye is a full 45 min snorkeling exploration through the caved part of the cenote. Not for the claustrophobic but an incredible surprise and fun activity. Joshua ensured our safety the entire time and continued to answer any questions we had throughout the exploration. Can’t recommend enough. Lastly we did the swimming with turtles in Akumal bay. This was really cool if you’ve never seen sea turtles before. But it’s a very populated tourist area to see the turtles. LOTS of people in the water. At times it was difficult to not run into people. But we did see around 7-8 turtles, fish, and a stingray. The water is very murky so it’s difficult to see. I would recommend if you’ve never done before, but if you have, not worth the extra money. Overall an incredible experience!

Josh was our tour guide on 4/30/2025 for an excursion to two cenotes. He was a private guide for me and my husband for our first trip to the area and we would highly recommend him. Josh was knowledgeable of the history of the area, very easy going and a pleasure to spend time with. He ensured we were both comfortable with all activities and went at our pace. We would definitely book again!

We booked a private tour with Absolute Adventure Mexico and that’s exactly what we got!! We looked at their reviews before we chose who to book with and saw so many excellent ones we didn’t need to look any further. We did the triple experience - Tulum Ruins, the underground cave Cenote and snorkelling with the turtles. We were picked up from our hotel lobby by Omar, our driver and Joshua, our guide for the day, who were both very friendly and we felt in very safe hands. We were kept informed of our timings and given lots of information along the way. Joshua was very knowledgeable and passionate about each part of the trip and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both the trip and the company - so if you don’t like big group trips and want a more personal experience just book it!! You won’t regret it 🙂

Juan/JJ was the BEST tour guide!!! He was so kind, funny, knowledgeable and we truly had the best time on the tour. Overall, such a great experience for a big group. The cenotes we visited were beautiful and the local lunch was awesome. We had the best time! 10/10 recommend.

We booked a snorkeling tour at Yal Ku Lagoon and a tour of the Taak bi Ha cenote while staying at an all-inclusive resort in Puerto Morelos — we are a family of five from New England. This tour was without question the highlight of our trip. Joshua was an incredible guide and Rodrigo was a great driver. This tour exceeded our expectations. We found Yal Ku snorkeling to be really nice. The water is shallow and clear with interesting rock formations, so you can really see the fish well. We saw tons of striking tropical fish. It’s also nice and calm which was great for us as we had our 3 kids (ages 9, 7, and 2) with us for the tour. The cenote was also incredible. My wife has toured several caves in Southeast Asia and found this one to be exceptional. Basically, Joshua and Rodrigo were great company. It was really nice having a safe place to leave our belongings for each stop. Lunch was in an unforgettable setting. We definitely learned more as a result of Joshua’s knowledge. And they provided a nicely stocked cooler of beverages for us as well. I highly recommend this tour and we are very pleased with our decision to book it.

Our experience was beyond expectations! Enrique and Arturo were early and waiting for us at the hotel lobby when we got there. It was a long ride and they asked us numerous times if we needed a rest stop. Arturo was so helpful, patient, and informative at Chichen Itza and pointed out so many small details we wouldn't have known otherwise. He did a good job of keeping us away from the crowds and was able to answer all of my random questions. We also got to choose which Cenote we wanted to go to. The meal at the restaurant may have been the best food of the week. The whole day was personalized to our needs from the time of pick up to how long we wanted to stay at each attraction. I would highly recommend Absolute Adventure for all your excursion needs.

We had an excellent private excursion with Absolute Adventures. Christina was our wonderful guide for the day, and KiKi was our driver. We saw the Tulum Ruins, went swimming and snorkeling in a cenote and had a delicious lunch. Then we snorkled with sea turtles. It was a memorable and exciting day with myself, my husband and our 17-year-old son. Christina was so sweet and funny and knowledgable. Kiki kept us feeling safe in the van. We had a great time and recommend them highly. Thank you for the fun!

When we set out to make our second trek to Chichén Itza we knew we didn’t want to take a huge tour bus and huge crowds for our kids first trip to the Ruins. We landed on Absolute Adventure because of their 5 start reviews and our guide Artulu killed it! Our driver Rodrigo was prompt and did his best to get us to and from the Ruins, a Cenote and Valladolid. Our first trip of Chichen Itza we were in a large group and could hardly hear anything being said, but today Artulu gave us a detailed history of the buildings and Mayan culture. We got to pick a Cenote that all we asked was to take us somewhere least packed. We then ate a later lunch in Valladolid and strolled around and visited a few shops before the heat got the best of us! Book with Absolute Adventures and ask for Artulu, he was awesome and great with our kids, 11 and 14.

Our guide Cristina was absolutely brilliant and made our day super special! She was very knowledgeable, helpful, and incredibly kind…and a whole lot of fun 🙂 Our driver Omar was an absolute pleasure as well. Very safe and cautious and also very kind!

This was the highlight of our trip! We did Taak bi Ha, Dos Ojos, and Yal Ku Lagoon. Ivan and Joshua were amazing. We were the only ones at Dos Ojos and Taak bi Ha with people showing up after us, so we had the whole place for ourselves! Both Ivan and Joshua were super attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. We are already planning on booking again for next year! Go with this company, it is well worth it, can’t recommend them enough. Thank you!!

We had a great experience with Absolute Adventure Mexico’s private cenote tour. Our guide, Juan, was super friendly and interesting. Pickup at our Airbnb was prompt and easy to coordinate. The two cenotes we visited were beautiful, not too crowded, and very different from each other, so it was fun to experience the contrast between them. Lunch was delicious too! Overall, a relaxed and special adventure.

Absolute adventures was an excellent choice while our cruise ship docked in Cozumel. Arturo was very accomodating and helped make sure we got the most out of our short visit and that we were back to the ferry in time. We had to change our original plans due to time constraints and he was great in helping make suggestions and figure out a better plan for us. We had an amazing time playing in the cenote. Will definitely use this company again if we go back to Playa Del Carmen.

I had a wonderful excursion to Tulum and a nearby cenote with my lovely girlfriend. Our tour guide Juan was fantastic and provided us with insight into the history, local culture, and traditions. He made sure to take us to the sites when they weren't crowded so we could get the most out of our experience and capture some beautiful pictures of our time. Everything was exceeded our expectations. Thank you!!

Did a 3 Cenote tour with 10 kids and 9 adults in March for Spring Break. Arturo was our guide and he was fantastic. Paid special attention to our littlest, making sure he was warm and happy, helped pick up snorkels. He was very informative and engaging. The company arranged 2 buses to take our group back and forth from the Grand Palladium Kentanah, organized a good lunch in between, and had all the equipment we would need. I'd easily recommend this company to anyone looking for some adventure. We loved jumping into Jaguar Cenote and doing the zip line there.
