Ver másWe picked absolute adventure mexico, because (1) reviews on tripadvisor, (2) option to book a tour for just us two (vs. a bus load of fellow explorers ;-), (3) their responsiveness to our questions. If you're looking for a individual experience tailored to your preferences, I would very strongly recommend them! They were flexible to pick us up 30 minutes earlier than originally recommended, such that we were actually the first visitors thru the gates at Chichen Itza in the morning - able to take pictures of many of the sites without any other person in it! They provided an excellent driver (in a roomy, very clean, A/C'd, very well equipped and comfy van) and a guide for the day, who was just super fun to interact with. We chatted about everything, from the differences in local cuisines, to the history of the peninsula, to the archeological aspects of Chichen Itza, to life in general, and then some. He is about to complete his certification to be an official guide at any museum or Maya site, and took us to and explained about 30% of the places in Chichen Itza - the other 70% were covered by a local guide, a former history teacher, and having such knowledgeable guides all to ourselves was a wonderfully enriching part of the trip: we could ask tons of questions, and had a fantastic visit. Afterwards, our next stop were two cenotes, and swimming in them was super cool experience! Our guide took pictures for us (rather than hiring a photographer, they offer to share all the pictures they take with you for free, in exchange to allowing them to use some of them on their social media site - we just downloaded 145(!) high-def pictures our guide took, and will get some of them printed and framed). After that, they took us to a Valladolid, for a delightful lunch at a restaurant right on the main plaza, next to the church, and before heading back to Playa del Carmen, we had time to leisurely explore the local market and stores. From an early morning coffee stop, to a well-equipped drinks box, to life vests (in our sizes), to bio-degradable sun screen and bug repellent, to a book on the fauna of Yucatan, they thought of everything. The communication prior to the booking, leading up to the trip, and even afterwards was timely, informative, and very clear. Their quality service adds additional motivation to look forward to our next trip to Yucatan. We got lucky, scoring the last available team for our trip the week before we arrived - but I think it's a fairly small business, so I recommend you book well in advance, if you can. Thanks, guys! Great job!
Ver másWe spent the day with Juan visiting Chichen Itz√°, two cenotes and Villadoid. We had fun, learned a lot and overall enjoyed personal attention. Thank you!
Ver másClaire was our tour guide and the immediate response and thorough communication to get us booked on the right tour was excellent! We benefitted from a last minute cancellation over Christmas break and this was the highlight of our trip. I have done the Tulum ruins on prior trips in large groups and with headphones - but having the ability to do the ruins AND snorkel (with provided wetsuits) a cenote where they had private access AND swim with sea turtles AND go to a fabulous secluded Mayan restaurant for lunch - the highlight of our trip! We have 2 college kids and they thought it was fantastic! Thanks to Claire for taking such good care of us! Would do this again in a heartbeat!

Ver másOur family private tour was awesome! Jaun was our guide and he was friendly, honest, knowledgeable and easy going. He was the best tour guide our family has ever had. Thank you for a great experience and for really making the private tour worth our time and money. Excellent service. Would work with the company again and again.

Ver másWe took a private tour for 9 to the Coba ruins and a swim afterwards in the Cenote. We had a really exciting day. Our tour guide Juan and our driver Juan took great care of all of our needs, while introducing us to the fascinating Coba ruins and the Cenote. First, they picked us up at the hotel and shuttled us to Coba, where we met our Mayan guide (another Juan) who educated us about the site and Mayan culture. Then, we selected from the bikes onsite and rode out further into the Mayan city to see the biggest of the Mayan towers, which we climbed. Then back to the bus and off to the Cenote, where we ate lunch before changing into swimsuits and going into the cave for a swim. Finally, we headed to the beach to swim with the sea turtles. All in all, a fun and exciting day. A highlight of our trip to Riviera Maya!

Ver másTwo years ago my husband and I visited Mexico and booked a last minute tour with Absolute Adventure Mexico. It was by far the best excursion trip we have ever booked on any vacation - ever. We loved that our tour was private, just us, rather than a busload of resort guests. Every detail was well thought out and we enjoyed every minute.

Ver másWe had an absolutely amazing time; from the moment I booked our tour, to answering my emails, to the actual day of the tour everything was well organized. I loved that I could pay using PayPal, the driver was excellent having the van temperature at a perfect coolness. The turtle tour was amazing Claire had arranged for a certified guide at Akumal who not only pointed out the turtles grazing on sea grass but also squid, rays and other fish we would have possibly missed. I was so happy to arrive before other tours as we had the water mostly to ourselves. Akumal has very strict snorkeling guidelines to safe guard the turtles. Next we were off to cenote chichen ha which was actually three different sites in one place, two under ground and one open which had alot of small fish. I would highly recommend Absolute Adventure.
Ver másOur coba tour with Absolute was again so amazing (we booked three tours with them this being our second) our hotel is in Puerto Morelos so it is about 2 hours from Coba. Our tour guide Claire and driver met us on time at 6 am, the drive in the van was comfortable as Claire gave us some insight on the culture of the area. When arrived at Coba Claire too care of all the details; from water / drinks, entry fees, to renting bicycles (having someone peddle while you sat was an otion too), to information on the history plus showing us sites we would have otherwise missed as they were hidden in the deep forest. Coba does not have plaques explaining what you are seeing so having an experienced guide is a must. Claire speaks french, English and Spanish. When we left Coba we were happy for the early start as the crowds were crazy. The cenote the driver took us too was off the beaten path, once again Absolute showed their attention to detail allowing us to swim / snorkel in a very quiet area leaving crowds behind. Claire our guide provided us with wet suites and life jackets (we brought our own snorkels but she will provide everything needed). I could go on and on everything was perfect - I can hardly wait for our next adventure with Absolute on Tuesday to see Tulum.
Ver másCan‚Äôt say enough about Absolute Adventures! They answered my emails promptly in my booking phase and while we were in Cancun. I‚Äôm always leery about booking tours like this over the internet but thankfully reviews such as this left me confident that this company was legit.

Ver másThis was so much fun. Our guide Juan was fantastic, personable and very knowledgeable. I have a 16, 14, and 10 year old, who all loved the day. Said it was the best activity of our time in Mexico. Highly recommend this tour! Absolute adventure was professional, and would book another tour with them in a heartbeat.

Ver másOverall ‚Äì this tour is ideal for first-timers like us who are not very good with large group tours. It hits the highlights of 2 sites and was catered to our level of interest and schedule. The photos included in the tour was a nice touch. This tour was just right and we enjoyed it a lot!

Ver másJust finished a great tour of Dos Ojos Cenote with Arturo as our guide & Carlo as our driver. Very attentive staff. They arrived on time for the pick up at our casa in Playacar. I am not super comfortable in deep water. Arturo was very patient, ensuring my equipment was fitted properly & I was good before starting out. It was so much fun!! The Mayan “restaurant” is an open air space in the jungle with a pool, tables & a bar with swings. Amazing, great food prepared on site. Truly a cultural emersion experience. I highly recommend Arturo & this tour!!

Ver másWe had a private tour with Arturo as our guide and Ervin as our driver. Arturo was knowledgeable, warm and his English was excellent, a result of having lived in Colorado. When we got to Tulum, it was just opening, it turned out that we would have a private guide there as well, Manolik, who had a British-accented English and taught us a great deal about the Mayan civilization, their rituals, agriculture and their lives. There was a great deal of walking at Tulum, so wear comfortable walking shoes. We had on our bathing suits under our shorts and tops, which was ideal, since there was no changing room at the cenote.

Incredible site with unbelievable history. Truly one of the great wonders of the world. This trip was made even more special by our guide, Juan. His knowledge and gifted personality made an amazing day even more remarkable.

Ver másWe booked the snorkeling in cenotes trip online after suggestion by a friend. We had no expectations and the real experience made for an unforgettable surprise. We had no idea that it was gonna be an exclusive trip. Juan was our tour guide and his attention was fully with us throughout. After their pickup from the hotel, we travelled from Cancun for about 2 hours to reach the spot where Juan first took us to the Nicte Ha cenote(which was open) followed by Tak Be Ha(which was underground). We spent about 45 minutes in each of them having a surreal experience snorkling. The lunch provided was very good and authentic. Thanks to Juan for being very knowledgable and guiding us through the entire trip.
