This excursion was one of the best decisions we made for our family vacation. Hector was our guide and Ervin was our driver. They were both friendly and accommodating and attentive to ensure we were comfortable. We were all very comfortable and had a lot of laughs. Hector was very personable and incredibly knowledgeable. We enjoyed the entire trip which included Tulum, snorkeling in the Cenote, and swimming with the turtles. Tulum was an incredible place to visit given how old the site is and the incredible views. Our guide at Tulum, as well as Hector, shared so many interesting facts about the history of the site. Next we chose to snorkel in the cave Cenote – it was an incredible and unique experience – especially with bats flying overhead. Next was lunch at a Myan village – a great location and authentic food that we all enjoyed very much. Last was swimming with the turtles. Even though the water was a little rough, our guide ensured we saw a few turtles. Life jackets are required and that turned out to be for the best. Throughout the day we had interesting conversations about many topics – cultures, family, religion, politics, etc. It was a great experience to be able to learn more about Mexico and Mexican culture. We will all remember this experience fondly and would love to come back and go on other excursions with Hector and Ervin. We recommend this tour company 100%; they handle everything so all you have to do is enjoy!

Hector our guide was great and very knowledgeable, even more than the imposed guide at Tulum. Driver was great also and made us feel safe.

Shout out to Hector and Pasqual ! Did the private three Cenote tour. The guides made us have an amazing time and the tour was totally private! Hector took pictures and let us pick what we wanted to do. Best part was he never rushed us and let us pick where we wanted to go and leave. The Cenotes were beautiful and not crowded! Would recommend the tour and the guides!

Our guide Jose Manuel and our driver Pasqual showed up promptly at 6:30am in a private van to take our group of 5 women to Coba. We arrived right upon opening to beat the crowds that would be arriving by the busloads later, enjoyed a separate presentation by a guide on site, and then Jose Manuel led us on bikes to the base of the main ruins. The climb to the top was quicker than I thought (less than 10 minutes), but not going to lie - it was scary looking down (so don't look down while your climbing if you're scared of heights). Joe Manuel climbed with us to top and climbed down with us too. The climb (or slide down) is much slower, but Jose Manuel stayed with us to make sure we were comfortable. We continued to explore the rest of the ruins site and THEN we rode via van to our first cenote experience ever (just a few minutes away). The underground cenote was insane and absolutely jawdropping. Jose Manuel encouraged us to jump from the platforms and our group had so much fun - truly one of the highlights of our trip. He even swam with us but also gave us room and space to soak it all in ourselves.

Hector, Juan and their 2 drivers (can’t recall their names) did a great job showing us Coba and giving us extensive information about the sites and Mayan Mexican history and culture. They were very knowledgeable about a wide range of topics, and had answers for all of our questions, which were many! We had a large group (14 family members) in 2 vans, but they did a great job of making us seem like one cohesive group. They took great care of us, including the great restaurant were we had lunch. It was an excellent experience, and we all loved how easy they were to talk to. They truly did make it feel as if they were part of the family! We would definitely take another tour with them in the future.

My teen son and I had been most looking forward to our tour of Coba and Tulum out of all the things we had planned for our Mexican vacation. Having studied archeology in college it was a dream of mine to make a trip to see various mayan sites in the Yucatan including Coba. Our day turned out to meet and exceed our great expectations. The day was expertly planned so as to best avoid the crowds andJuan was extremely personable, knowledgable and patient with all of our many questions. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of throughout the day and the lunch we had was delicious. I heartily recommend this company based upon the experience we had.

We had the tour of Tulum and a Cenote, with lunch afterward. By far the highlight of our trip to Riviera Maya. Hector was our tour guide. We adored him. Very personable, knowledgable and entertaining. We were picked up PROMPTLY at 7:30 and were at Tulum by 8. THANK GOODNESS! It was hot and we beat the HOARDS of people heading in while we were headed out around 10. At Tulum, we had a private guide who was a professional anthropologist, in addition to Hector. Hector snorkeled with us at the cenote and gave detailed information about the geography of the area/cenotes. The snorkeling equipment was in excellent shape and extremely clean. Hector took a lot of fantastic photos. Lunch was superb, at a very pretty local restaurant, and Hector ate with us and was very chatty and fun to be with. My 20, 18 and 15-year-old "children" loved the entire experience and Hector. We also had a private driver, Pasqual. I honestly can say that this is worth every penny, and may even be a bargain for the service provided. Bravo to this company!

We were a group of 7 and every single one of us enjoyed this tour. Swimming with the turtles was amazing! At first we were a bit nervous because it seemed as if we weren't going to see any turtles but they were just being shy! One of the guides was even kind enough to assist a swimmer throughout the entire time because she was nervous about swimming alone. The cenote was also beautiful with super clear water! Our tour guide's name was Hector and he was so much fun! Super knowledgeable about Mayan history which was a bonus we weren't expecting. Overall couldn't recommend this tour enough!

This was an awesome tour, it was just my husband and I and our tour guide. We had Rodrico (our driver) and Hector (our guide). We left our hotel and went to Tulum, then went to Coba and then to a Mexican restaurant for lunch. Hector was super friendly and informative. Would definitely use them again.

Our guide was very knowledge about Tulum and the Mayan culture giving us a great tour as well as pointing out the most interesting and beautiful features in the cenote. It felt like being shown around by a knowledge friend instead of a paid tour guide. We went to the ruins early in the morning which we think was worth the early wake up since they were not crowded and it was not too hot. Lastly having the guide take pictures was a great benefit.

Started with a 7:00 a.m. pick up at our hotel and right off the bat our tour guide Hector engaged us in conversation and explained what the itinerary of the day would be. Got to Tulum before the crowds and had a nice tour with Hector and the local tour guide. Went to the underground Cenote which was so amazing and so beautiful. Lunch at a really cool local Mayan place with amazing food and a super friendly staff. From there to snorkel with the turtles. This was the only part that was slightly less then great because of all the seaweed and cloudy water but still managed to see two turtles and an extremely large ray. Hector was amazing through the whole trip, so friendly and engaging. We (myself, wife, and son) were the only ones on the trip and this is the way to go. Beat the crowds at Tulum and moved quickly because it was only the three of us. Also, we were the ONLY ones in the cenote! Can't beat a small, private tour. So much more comfortable then huge crowds and buses. Hector really made this tour, he treated us like family. Can't recommend this tour enough.

Did the private tour and visited Tulum ruins, snorkled in a cave cenote, had an authentic myan lunch and swam with turtles. Hector and Pasquale, our guide and driver, were extremely friendly, professional and enthusiastic. They provided lots of local history and make our tour very interesting. We loved that they did not rush us and allowed us to stay as long as we wanted and even had time to do a little shopping. A private tour is the only way we will do excursions in the future. And again, our guides made it very enjoyable. I would ask for them by name when booking.

This tour was hands down the best tour I have ever been on. It started off with our amazing driver/guide Manu he was very prompt to pick us up from our hotel super friendly and professional. My husband and I felt safe during our travels with him. Manu was very knowledgeable about the area we were in and answer many of or questions during or journey there an back. He made sure we were comfortable and had a great experience. He let us decide how much free time we had during the tour, when we went to visit the cenote and the village for shopping. Manu thanks again for ensuring we had an enjoyable experience on our tour. Best time we had while on vacation.

My family (husband, 13 year old son and 14 year old daughter) just returned from our first time in the Cancun area and without a doubt, this tour was the highlight of our trip. We choose this tour because of all the 5-star reviews and we absolutely agree that it was worthy of 5 stars. Hector was our guide and Carlos our driver. They were both very friendly and Hector was incredibly knowledgeable. They were also both very interested in ensuring we were comfortable and willing to accommodate us when we wanted to stop and do a little shopping. We loved the entire trip including Tulum, snorkeling in the Cenote (we chose the cave which was amazing) and the swim with the turtles. Even though the water when swimming with the turtles was a little murky, our guide was absolutely determined to ensure we saw a turtle...and we ended up seeing three! We thought that lunch in the Myan village was the best Mexican meal we had the entire trip. It was also a very cool/authentic location and the staff was very friendly. The best part was that the restaurant owner, who is also the shaman/medicine man in that village, was preparing for a ceremony and he came over to our table and shared some of the herbs etc. with us. That was really an incredible and unexpected experience. On the way back to our hotel, we had a wonderful discussion with Hector about Mexican culture, family, politics etc. It was really interesting and eye-opening. It was a great reminder for us that although we may live in different countries and speak different languages, we all basically care about the same things in life and want the best for ourselves and our family. We really appreciated and got a lot out of our conversation. Hector was wonderful. We not only recommend this tour company but make sure you ask for Hector as well!

My husband and I always plan our trips and never do tours. So this was a first for us and we could not have been happier. It was so simple to set up by email, all my requests were accommodated and everything went exactly as planned. We visited Tulum, climbed Coba, swam in a Cenote and ate a great lunch in a local restaurant. Hector was a knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide and Rodrigo a courteous, attentive driver. Both were a pleasure to hang out with for the day. Thank you for helping to make our trip to Mexico a great one!

Absolutely loved taking this excursion. Having a guide and a driver dedicated to us was well worth the money. They were able to tailor the tour to our interests... and because it was just us we spent as much or as little time at each spot.

Juan was excellent. Very attentive to our needs. Made all of us feel comfortable and worry free. He made sure our whole group was taken care of the whole time. He's very personable and funny. Has a good personality. We never felt rushed. I saw other guides with other groups and they did not seem to be as personable or attentive as Juan. If you can book him, recommend it. Their tour guide company is the best we’ve been with as well. They try and get you places when there are the fewest people around, so you're never felt crowded.... very important.

This was our first private tour ever, will never do group tours again. Our guide Claire was amazing, I had so many questions and she had the knowledge to answer them all, we felt very comfortable in all the different surroundings, highly recommend this company to singles and families you won't be disappointed in anyway.

We recently returned from a family vacation in Playa. The sargassum is TERRIBLE on the beaches there, but no worries! Absolute Adventures saved our vacation. We spent 2 days with Hector, the most awesome guide EVER! We went to Coba and Tulum, swam in cenotes and ate at great restaurants we would never otherwise have visited. They picked us up and dropped us off at our villa. The only thing we had to do was get out of bed and have fun. If you are going to Cancun or Riviera Maya you should hire this company to take you to see something. You won't regret it!

We had a fantastic private tour with Claire from Absolute Adventure. We started early so as to be one of the first groups to swim and see the sea turtles as soon as the beach opened, which was worth it as even an hour later many more people had arrived on the beach. We then went onto a nearby Cenote, which was amazing, jumping off platforms and ziplining across the jungle. We were the only ones there which made it very special.
