We had a lovely time with our guide Dulce and our driver Carlos. We saw green sea turtles, stingrays and various smaller fish (including a young Dory fish) when snorkelling in Tsuuk Akumal. Going early helps to avoid the crowds and it was only getting busier when we were leaving. We then had a choice of cenotes to go to and opted for Nicte-Ha, a smallish open cenote with a bit of side caves, as we’d been to various enclosed cenotes already. Nicte-Ha had great visibility, enabling us to snorkel among waterlilies and tiny fish. As it was still early, for most of our time there we were the only people in the cenote. The local lunch was great and Dulce helped us order a nice variety platter to try various types of tacos. As sunscreen is not allowed in Tsuuk Akumal or in the cenote, I’d recommend asking for a wetsuit, especially if you’re prone to burning. They have them in the car and they will shield your back and upper limbs from the sun while snorkelling as well as keep you warm in the cooler waters of the cenote for longer.

I can’t express how amazing the tour was, from Tulum to the cenote. We have been to several Tulum tours and cenote trips over the years but we had the chance to bring our large family – many of them for the first time in the area, and Juan surprised some of us experienced people with fantastic new detail and insight into Tulum. He also was amazing helping some of the non-swimmers relax and enjoy the cenote snorkel adventure. He made this trip so incredibly memorable for everyone on the trip.

Amazing Day at Pet Cemetery Cave Snorkeling with Kids. We spent an amazing day with Arturo and Joshua as our guides through Pet Cemetery/Sac Actun. The cenote was far more beautiful and amazing than the online pictures show - the best of the four cenotes we visited while in Tulum. Arturo was wonderful with our boys (13 and 9), the youngest of which wasn't thrilled by the idea of cave snorkeling. But Arturo took time with him and made him feel so comfortable - our youngest ended up loving every minute of the tour. We were so happy Arturo and Joshua (who was training to be a guide and will also be amazing) joined us so we could learn more about them, the company, and the area. We couldn't recommend this company or our tour guides any more. We did three tours with Absolute Adventure while in Tulum and loved all three - each was well worth the time and money. From Rodrigo our driver, to our tour guides, and all the way through to Claire and Cyrille the owners - this is the company to use! Stop your search!

The tour we did was amazing! Alex was so knowledge about the Tulum Ruins and the cenotes. The tour was geared especially for us and we had a great time. A highlight of our vacation. Thank you Alex and Omar our driver.

Unforgettable Experience with Absolute Adventures! We had the best day ever with Arturo as our guide! Allan was also there in training, and was just as friendly and knowledgeable. The visit to the Tulum ruins was incredible. We were there early which is the best way to avoid the crowds and enjoy the beautiful sights. We then went to the cenote Nicte-Ha which was amazing. There were very few people there and it felt like we had it to ourselves. We then went to lunch with Arturo and Allan and the food was delicious. Final stop was at Akumal Bay to snorkel with turtles. We saw four turtles, some stingrays and other fish as well! It was an unforgettable experience. Our driver Rodrigo was also very nice. He kept the van clean between stops, cleaned our snorkelling equipment between uses and very kindly avoided pot holes on the road so that it wouldn’t be too bumpy. Excellent service and professionalism from all three of them and would definitely recommend this tour. Book with Absolute Adventure, you will have the time of your life!

My extended family and I spent a day with Arturo as our guide. We were picked up early in the morning at our resort, on time, and made our way in a comfortable van to the Mayan ruins of Tulum. Arturo was a fantastic guide! He was personable, friendly and fun as he imparted his knowledge of the Mayan people, their history and the architecture. Then we travelled to the Dos Ojos Cenote, where we snorkeled and explored the awesome rock formations above and below water. We even swam into a hidden bat cave, which was a highlight of everyone's day. Most importantly was Arturo's warm and patient demeanor with my young niece and my daughter who has special needs. She requires a bit more assistance in unfamiliar situations, and Arturo went above and beyond to accommodate her and make us all feel comfortable. I would highly recommend Arturo and Absolute Adventure Tours to anyone looking for a memorable experience in Mexico!

Dulce, our guide, and Carlos, our driver, were the perfect combination for our tours with Absolute Adventures! On our first tour with them, we visited the Tulum Ruins, swam with turtles at Akmul and then snorkeled at Sac Ahtun Cenote. On our second tour, we visited Chichen Itza, Samula Cenote and Vallodid. If you want a private tour, based on your personal needs, then book with Absolute Adventures!

The Perfect Private Tour.Our private guide was Juan and he was the perfect match for my wife and I. Juan was knowledgeable and very personable. He made us feel at ease and answered all our questions. The trip was perfect as we made it to Tulum right at opening and missed the crowds. We also made it to the cenote early and Juan, my wife and I were the only 3 people in the cenote. Lunch at a local restaurant was great then off to swim with sea turtles at Akumal. We saw many sea turtles, sting rays, parrot fish, sea enchants, puffer fish, permit fish, star fish and a variety of other tropical fish. Having a private guide is the best way to experience the unique sites of the area while giving you the ultimate flexibility. We would highly recommend this tour and more specifically Juan as your guide. As a bonus, Juan was also a great photographer with our iPhone.

Excellent tour guide - enjoyed our day! Our group of 7 family members had a fantastic time touring the Tulum ruins and swimming with the turtles at Akumal. We enjoyed the lunch as well. It was and excellent day. Rodrigo drove and got us there and back safely. Arturo was an awesome guide through the Tulum. He managed to steer us away from the crowds and we never felt rushed or crowded. We did leave early in the morning and there were lots of people walking in as we left. Arturo was knowledgeable about the ruins and the vegetation. We didn't do a cenote swim as that was not something we wanted included. It was so nice to visit Arturo while we had an authentic Mexican meal at a restaurant near Akumal.

Omar and Alex were our driver and tour guide for the private, 3 cenote snorkeling tour with lunch. It was a great experience. Alex spoke perfect English and was very knowledgable about the local culture. The cenotes were awesome, and Alex was great at guiding us through each of them. Highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants some cenote variety.

Truly unique Yucatán experience! 2hour drive from Cancun, but guide, snorkeling the crystal clear cenotes and lunch was worth it.

We appreciated an early pickup so missed the crowds. Juan our guide was very personable, knowledgeable and fun but was very respectful of our privacy. The cenotes we visited were gorgeous and lunch was excellent. We look forward to future tours and hope Juan is our adventure buddy.

Alex our guide and Omar our driver were awesome! Logistics from pick-up at our hotel until we were dropped off 8 hours were later were perfect. Alex was extremely knowledgeable and clearly has a great passion for sharing Mexican history and loves cultural exchange with his clients. The early pick-up was worth it to see Tulum practically empty and to have the Jaguar cenote all to ourselves. We had a delicious lunch at the family-run Juanita. The water was a bit rough at Akumal, but we still saw the turtles on our snorkel outing. Our tour with Absolute Adventure was a great addition to one of our family?s all-time best vacations!

These guys did a great job! They were punctual, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Juan was our guide and was great with our kids, funny, smart, and a lot of fun. Would highly recommend it. Some might be scared off by the early start, but don?t be! To get to Chich?n Itz? early without the crowds of tourists and vendors was totally worth it. We also loved the cenote and the place we ate in Valladolid. It was a great day and worth every penny.

Wow!! This tour was incredible and Alex/Rodrigo our guides were great. The cenotes we went to were beautiful and also not crowded. This felt like a VIP experience and I can?t wait to recommend and return.

Could not have had a better experience! Our tour guide, Alex, briefed us on the history of the ruins & cenotes from the moment he picked us up from our hotel. Alex is extremely knowledgable about the history and very accommodating! We were literally the first people to walk into the ruins that day. Lunch in the Mayan community was incredible. We visited one of the Cenotes - so beautiful! Snorkeling with the sea turtles was really neat too..I would book this trip again!

This is THE tour to do! I did this tour with a group of 4 (two couples) and our guide Alex was fantastic! He was incredibly passionate and knowledgable about Mayan history and culture, giving us added information about architecture and astrology in a personable and digestible way. I've been to Tulum 3 times now; once without a guide, once on a group tour, and now with a private guide and Alex pointed out things that had been missed my first two times there. This tour itinerary is perfect - you don't drive more than 40 minutes to each activity, lunch was the best meal of our entire trip, and you get back around 3pm with plenty of time for the pool before dinner. By leaving early in the morning, you miss the crowds and the heat of the day while at the cenote or snorkeling with Turtles. This tour with Alex was the highlight of our trip. If I could, I'd do this tour all over again!

We were a group of 5 and booked the tulum ruins and tequila tasting tour. Our tour guide was Arturo. He was on time to pick us up for our tour. Arturo was very friendly, easy going and knowledgeable on both archaeological site as well as tequila. We had a really good time. Thank you Arturo. We loved it ??

Loved our private Tulum and Turtle tour. We took the Tulum and Turtle tour with Dulce as our guide and Carlos as our driver. The hospitality of the private tour was so nice and easy. We had our 6-year-old with us, and they were very understanding of her needs. Dulce knows so much about Tulum, shared great information with us, and answered many questions. She even took the shadier path to the exit when our daughter was getting hot. Dulce made sure we found our way to all the things we needed in Akumal Bay (where to put our things, our snorkeling guide, changing rooms, etc). We had a delicious and lovely lunch after our snorkeling tour. We loved being able to leave gear in the van knowing it was secure. Highly recommend this group for a private tour! No sunscreen is allowed in Akumal Bay. We wore long sleeve rash guards and swim pants and didn't get burned. We did see turtles! Also starfish and many kinds of fish.
